Alberta Addiction Service Providers (AASP)

AASP is the Alberta Addiction Service Providers, a non-incorporated member organization representing 32 not-for-profit agencies that provide a variety of addiction services in Alberta.

We advocate for the interests of our members with government, and we work more broadly for the betterment of addiction care in the province.

Our 32 agencies provide help for people across the continuum of care:
- At least three agencies provide shelter beds.
- Six agencies provide detoxification services.
- Seventeen agencies provide some form of residential care, approaching 500 beds in total, including more than half of the short-term treatment beds and more than three-quarters of the publicly funded long-term treatment beds.
- At least 10 agencies provide post-treatment housing.
- Seven agencies provide community-based services, including prevention, awareness and outpatient counselling.

Conservatively, we serve approximately 3,000 Albertans annually.
