Schizophrenia Society of Alberta (SSA)

The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta (SSA) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1980. The SSA is a provincial organization that has branches in Calgary, Camrose, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer. SSA also has contacts in Canmore and owns and operates Kentwood Place in Red Deer (supportive housing for individuals with serious mental illness). The SSA is affiliated with nine other provincial Societies and the Schizophrenia Society of Canada.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis through education, support programs, public policy and research.
